The Scholarship Program provides tuition for gifted children from low-income families in the area. Currently, 10% of the students are on Scholarship, with five students on full scholarships and six students on partial scholarships. BCU consistently aims to maintain a 10 to 15% average of students on scholarship as part of the entire student body each year, and we actively look for sponsors to support this objective.
The ideal length of scholarship would be no less than three years in order to ensure that the student receives the maximum benefit from our significant academic standards and opportunities provided at BCU.
The cost per child is US$3,000 per year as of the school year 2013-2014. This provides the beneficiary with tuition costs, daily school lunch, uniforms, books and school materials.
All donations received go toward a specific fund so that any amount contributed, large or small is most welcome.
The BCU Scholarship Program was established at the inception of the School, with the intention to ensure that the unique high-quality education offered at BCU would also benefit talented local children from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
